Overview
Anxiety disorders are common and treatable with individually tailored therapy and medication. There are several anxiety disorders: Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Phobias.
Assessments by mental health professionals provide the diagnosis while laboratory tests may rule out other medical conditions that may contribute to anxiety. Untreated anxiety disorders are often associated with mood disorders and substance use disorders.
